Okay I’ll admit it! I hate Valentines day….probably because I am single, so when OkEq contracted me to create a postcard for the Wild Hearts Ball, I was stumped. I decided to throw out all the pre-concieved notions of a Valentines Day Card, I selected bold colors, wonkey hand drawn hearts and an over-all “Cartoon Modern” feel for the text. I even got to throw in a few jabs at the lovey-dovey holiday by placeing a few black hearts on the back of the postcard…my personal touch. The president of OkEq was a little aprehensive but he called me a few days later to tell me that so many people had commented on how eye catching and charming the card was. So here’s to you hallmark and your red hearts and pink flowers!!
